Elephant Shelter Sand

Elephant Shelter Sand

total raised

Elephants spend their nights in chain free shelters which are lined with sand.

Due to local legal restrictions, we are not able to use sand from the river that passes through our land but need to order deliveries of sand.

The cost of supplying this sand over a year works out to be approximately $US60 per month / per elephant.

Please help us with this maintenance.

Donors in the U.S. may make tax-deductible donations to our partner, The Serengeti Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity.

Save Elephant Foundation is officially registered as a non-profit foundation in Thailand. As such, we are legally required to remain 100% financially transparent with the federal government. Below are the foundation’s certificates of registration:

  1. This is Sam Waldron, Jane Waldron’s big Bro. I am donating this on her behalf. The money was supposed to be for an elephant ride/experience in Thailand, she found out about what was happening and decided to donate the money to, good work people keep it up and my little sister is Awesome and Super Kind. Peace

  2. In honour of the Elephants currently being abused in Ayutthaya Thailand. We hope and pray that Ayutthaya Elephant village will be shut down soon. Thank you Save Elephant Foundation for all that you do.

  3. Having recently spent 4 days volunteering at ENP I know how important the sand is for the elephants . So I am happy to offer my small donation of $120 to help.
You do amazing work ensuring that traumatised, orphaned and humiliated elephants get to be part of a loving herd where their human carers show them the love and respect they deserve.
I’d like to do more for you in the future.
